App Privacy Policy

Pomar Digital LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use The Call mobile application (the “App”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope and Applicability

This Policy applies to the App and any related services we operate.
The App is intended for and only available to U.S. residents.
We process data in compliance with U.S. laws, including CCPA/CPRA.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

Account Data: Name, email, password, birthdate, phone (optional), location, hunting interests.
User Content: Photos, comments, hunt logs, and any materials you upload.
Communications: Messages you send to us (e.g., support inquiries).

B. Information Collected Automatically

Device & Usage Data: Device ID, IP address, OS version, app settings, pages viewed, time and duration of use.
Analytics & Engagement: App interactions, feature usage, and performance metrics via Google Analytics and PostHog. PostHog collects event data, user behavior patterns, person properties, and feature flag interactions to help us understand and improve the App
Advertising Data: Ad impressions, clicks, and preferences via Google Ads, AdMob, and affiliate SDKs.
Cookies & Similar Tech: Cookies, SDKs, and local storage used for analytics and advertising.
Location Data: Approximate geolocation if you opt in (e.g., for hunt logs).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Operate & Improve the App. Provide core functionality, troubleshoot, and enhance features.
Personalize Experience. Tailor content, recommendations, and notifications.
AI Model Development. We may use photos and other user-uploaded content to train, fine-tune, and improve proprietary machine learning models, including wildlife and species identification features within the App.
Aggregated Research & Data Products. We may combine and anonymize user-submitted data (such as species sightings, hunt locations, and seasonal observations) to create aggregated, non-identifiable datasets and derived products (e.g., wildlife migration maps, regional activity trends). This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Advertising & Analytics. Deliver and measure ads, analyze usage, and optimize performance.
User Content Management. Host, moderate, and display your uploads.
Security & Fraud Prevention. Detect and prevent malicious activity or breaches.
Legal Compliance. Comply with laws, respond to legal requests, and enforce our Terms.

4. Advertising, Cookies & Tracking

We use Google Analytics for usage insights and Google Ads/AdMob for advertising.
We also use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog may collect behavioral event data, device identifiers, and usage patterns. You can review PostHog’s privacy practices at posthog.com/privacy.
Affiliate Networks: Amazon Associates, AvantLink, Impact, CJ, etc., using our affiliate ID only—no PII shared; we do not sell or share your personal information.
Cookies & SDKs: May collect device identifiers and usage patterns.
Ad Personalization Opt‑Out: You can manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com or via your device’s privacy settings.

5. User-Generated Content (UGC)

License: By uploading UGC, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, display, and modify it, including for AI training.
Retention: UGC is retained indefinitely unless legally required to delete upon your request.
Removal: We will remove illegal, obscene, or infringing content when identified or upon proper notice. Use our contact form to request deletion.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Account Data: Retained while your account is active, then deleted after 5 years of inactivity.
UGC: Retained indefinitely, subject to legal deletion requests.
Analytics Data: Retained for up to 36 months, then anonymized.
AI Training Data: Photos and content used for model training may be retained for the lifetime of the relevant model, even after account deletion, consistent with the perpetual license granted in Section 5.
Aggregated/De-identified Data: Data that has been anonymized and aggregated is no longer personal information and may be retained and used indefinitely.
Security Logs: Retained for up to 12 months.

Deletion Requests: Use our contact form from your registered email to request data export or deletion.

7. Data Security

We employ encryption, HTTPS, and access controls to safeguard your data.
However, no system is fully secure—we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 13.
If discovered, we will delete such data promptly to comply with COPPA.

9. Communications & Notifications

Push Notifications: We’ll request your consent before sending; you can disable anytime via device settings.
Email: Marketing and transactional emails include unsubscribe links.
SMS: Used for 2FA (mandatory) and marketing (opt-out by replying STOP).

10. California & Other Rights

California Residents:

Right to know, access, and delete personal information.
Right to opt out of sale/sharing of personal information.
Non-discrimination for exercising rights.

Other U.S. Residents:

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.

11. International Data Transfers

We process and store data on U.S. servers (Google Cloud).
For transfers from outside the U.S., we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure adequate protection.

12. Changes to This Policy

We’ll notify you of material changes via in-App banner, email, or push notification.
Minor updates will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date.
